2.4 Accuracy. The stopwatch shall be accurate to within 0.3 percent at 25 degrees C.
2.5 Case and inner workings. The materials used shall be of sufficient quality, strength, and durability to ensure accuracy and reliability for at least two years of normal use. The case shall be shock resistant.
2.6 Workmanship. All parts shall be fabricated and finished in accordance with good workmanship practices and shall be free of any defects which might affect its durability, or appearance.
2.7 The stopwatch shall be tested for accuracy following exposure to low and high temperature extremes of -10 +/- 1 and + 50 +/- 2 degrees C, the relative humidity at the high temperature shall be 50% +/- 2%. Duration of the test shall be two hours each cycle.
2.8 WARRANTY. Stopwatches shall be warranted by the contractor for parts and labor for two years from date of delivery to the government.
3. REGULATORY REQUIREMENTS:
The offeror/contractor is encouraged to use recovered materials to the maximum extent practicable, in accordance with paragraph 23.4303 of the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR).
4. QUALITY ASSURANCE PROVISIONS:
Product Conformance. The product provided shall meet the salient characteristics of this commercial item description. The quality of the product sold to the government shall be equal to or better than the quality of the product sold by the manufacturer in the commercial market. The government reserves the right to require proof of such conformance.
5. PACKAGING:
Preservation, Packaging, Packing, Labeling, and Marking shall be as specified in the contract or order.
